U.S. News and World Report(簡稱U.S. News)公布了一年一度的「2016版美國最佳大學排行榜單」,內容包含相關分析文章,幫助家長和學生了解大學的申請流程,從而選擇最適合的學校,除了大家熟知的常規榜單之外,US News也將第一次以科技、設備、學術、課程、環境等方面做為考量因素,公布最具創新性的大學排名。除了官網上的排名與統計數據說明之外,有興趣想深入研究的朋友,也可以參考US News and World Report於九月下旬開始發售的「2016最佳大學指南」。
《U.S. News 小百科》
美國有多個機構對大學進行排名,其中最具權威和影響力的就是《U.S. News and World Report》美國新聞和世界報導,U.S. News是世界著名的綜合性報導評論週刊,對於美國大學排名始於1983年,自1985年以後每年更新一次。隨著高等教育的全球化,U.S. News在2014年10月正式推出2015年世界大學排名,具有非常重要的參考價值。U.S.News美國大學排名的參考因素,計有七項主要指標加權平均計算而得,這些指標包含:學術聲譽、畢業率和新生返校率、師資力量、新生水準、經濟實力、畢業率表現、校友捐贈等七大部分,各部分又別有數個具體的指標。
